About Us

Co-owner and General Manager, Michael Johnson, has a deeply rooted three-fold connection to ‘Winston’. He is a proud business owner and resident in Winston-Salem and his middle name is Winston. Winston also happens to be the maiden name of his beloved grandmother who was a lifelong North Carolinian.   

By naming the café Winston’s Eatery, it acknowledges Michael’s connection and commitment to making it a place influenced by his love for good food and his appreciation for Winston-Salem’s vibrancy. Michael was the owner of a well respected catering company right here in Winston-Salem. And from that beginning Michael is pleased to have partnered with co-owner, Chad Williams, to kick start the vision for Winston’s Eatery.  

Michael is happy to share his passion for a simplistic and creative approach to the dining experience. He is thrilled that this region is a bountiful source of high quality, fresh ingredients and culinary creativity. The team at Winston’s Eatery is pleased to share a dream now realized.
